Body Types

So, why is it important to even know your body type?

Simply put, if you know your body type, it saves you valuable time and countless hours while exercising to achieve your aesthetic goals. In fact, our research and data suggests that working out based on your body type, is the single most-determining factor to improving your problem-areas. And, by not working out properly for your body type, our data also shows that it can actually make those stubborn areas look even worse.

Exude Fitness is the only fitness company that designs exercise prescriptions for body types based on the world’s only patented system with over 30+ years of expertise. Everyone has a particular body type or shape, which falls into one of Exude's four categories: Hourglass®, Spoon®, Ruler® or Cone®. These shapes are—for the most part—genetically predetermined.

If your goal is to achieve a leaner, more toned and better proportioned body or if you want to add size, muscle and mass to particular regions of your body, you must recognize what you were born with, what characteristics are specific to your body and adjust your exercise plan accordingly.

Your body type has nothing to do with how tall, short, skinny or fat you are, and it has nothing to do with how much you weigh, which is more affected by diet (how much and what you eat). Your body is shaped only by genetics, activity level, sports you might have played as a youth, and your current exercise routine.

For example; our research demonstrates that if you are a “Spoon" (bottom-heavy) and you weigh 150 pounds and you lose 15 pounds by dieting and exercise, unless you work out based on your body type, you'll weigh less, but your saddlebags and other problem areas will stubbornly remain.

It's important to note here that there are no “bad" exercises for any body type. Meaning, nothing bad safety-wise will happen to you if you perform any of the exercises not recommended for your body type. However, if you have a specific goal and aesthetic look and/or problem area or areas that you're seeking to improve, Exude has unequivocally proven through our science and patent that it is unattainable to do so without exercising precisely for your body type. In other words, you may receive the fitness and health benefits by exercising so, but you will not realize your specific and desired aesthetic rewards.

Whilst most women's bodies are Hourglass or Ruler shaped, most men fall into the Ruler or Hourglass category. And, no matter what your gender, if you are overweight by 25 pounds or more, it sometimes more difficult to determine your actual body type as you may be “caught" between body types. If so, follow the Hourglass routines because you will still bulk in any region of your body until you shed some weight and your true body type becomes more apparent.

Exude's fitness program takes all the guesswork away for anyone who truly wants to escape their shape — because all of the body-type prescriptions are based on science and many years of trials. The good news is that both men and women can vastly improve the way their bodies look by exercising based on their body type.

So, rather than focusing on how much you weigh, channel your energy and efforts on making your body more balanced and proportionate. As long as you are in good physical condition and possess a healthy body ratio of lean muscle mass versus body fat, what you weigh becomes less important because you will look less than you actually weigh – and that should be your focus.

PROVEN RESULTS

During the past few years, I probably worked out to about 10-15 different exercise DVD’s and about 20 exercise classes. Sure, I was fitter and strong as an ox — but the problem was, that my behind started looking like that of a large ox. And every trainer at my gym told me that girls can’t “bulk” using weights. After some due diligence on the internet, I thankfully stumbled upon Exude. To every gal out there who is big-boned and bulks by just looking at a weight like me, and is looking to slim down, I implore you to go visit Exude — as I have not been a size 4 dress my entire adult life. Thanks Exude!
